Publisher Devolver Digital and studio Nerial, known for the popular card game Card Shark, have announced a new release of the card adventure Reigns: Beyond. The game will be coming to Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam this spring. Its original release took place in 2020, but until now, it has only been available on Apple Arcade.
While the earlier installments of the Reigns series cast us in the role of a king, attempting to meet the needs of their subjects and prevent the decline of their realm, in Beyond, we will follow the adventures of an intergalactic rock band traveling the universe aboard a spaceship.
We will be tasked with recruiting alien musicians and legendary instruments, performing concerts in clubs, rehearsing, and meeting dozens of vibrant characters. To accomplish all of this, we will utilize nearly two thousand cards with various decisions. They will aid us in battles against space pirates, tax collectors, and other adversaries.
