The release of the fighting game MultiVersus, featuring Warner Bros franchises, is scheduled for May 28th.

The creators of the free-to-play fighting game MultiVersus, based on Warner Bros. franchises, have announced the exact release date in their latest developer diary — the game will be released on May 28th on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

Initially launched in July 2022 as part of an open beta, the game saw its peak online player count on Steam surpassing 155,000. Overall, the fighting game was played by over 20 million players.

However, by February 2023, interest from users waned, and the game’s online metrics dropped nearly 100%. Later, the servers were closed “until release.”

In a new video, game director Tony Huen stated that the developers took into account the wishes and requests of fans, so the game will feature new battle arenas and characters, with existing ones receiving fresh attacks.

Additionally, the fighting game has transitioned to the Unreal Engine 5, enhancing its visual aspects. Furthermore, network code has been improved, and fans can expect a PvE mode.

In the game itself, users can play as various WB characters such as DC heroes or members of the Scooby-Doo team.
